Age Appropriate Classes
All our classes at Mini Footy are designed to ensure the children have maximum fun whilst they engage with the coaches. Every week the session will have a theme that inspires the children to believe they are astronauts, pirates, farmers, superheroes or it could literally be anything else!
Astro Tots – Level 1 (1.5 – 2.5 years)
Astro Tots is designed for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years old and requires 100% parental participation. Our play-oriented yet structured classes introduce little ones to the basics of football, including dribbling, striking, and goal scoring, using child-friendly equipment.
In addition to developing physical skills, Astro Tots classes also help children improve their cognitive and social skills as they learn about colours, counting, turn-taking, and listening. Our coaches use specific techniques to help children learn through play, repetition, and structure, with parent participation encouraged in most games. Transition games are also included to promote independence and confidence.
Cosmic Kickers – Level 2 (2.5 – 3.5 years)
Building on the foundation skills and football basics learnt by our Astro Tots, Cosmic Kickers takes our young players’ abilities to the next level. The format remains learning through play, with children challenged both physically and mentally through games that promote teamwork, ball skills, and strategic thinking.
Shooting Stars – Level 3 (3.5 – 5 years)
Our Shooting Stars classes take young footballers to the next level. Children aged 3.5-5 years are introduced to advanced ball skills such as turning and shielding. They also master agility and speed through more technical and challenging games. Our classes are designed to cater to children with boundless energy and confidence, ensuring they have fun while developing their skills.
Supernovas – Level 4 (5 – 8 years)
The Supernovas class is perfect for 5 to 8-year-olds looking to take their football skills to the next level. Our players master ball skills, gain confidence, and learn ball mastery techniques to use in our exciting mini-matches and at home. We prioritize safety in this more physically dynamic class and require all players to wear shin pads, teaching proper tackling techniques to promote safety and healthy competition.
